The Tomb of Cyrus (یrیmgیh-e kurosh-e bozorg)

is the monument of Cyrus the Great approximately 1 km southwest of the palaces of Pasargadae in Iran. According to Greek sources it dates back to 550–529 BC. The most extensive description based on a lost account by Aristobulus who had accompanied Alexander the Great on his eastern campaign in the late 4th century BC is to be found in Arrian s The Anabasis of Alexander (6.29) written in the 2nd century AD.

The Mausoleum is said to be the oldest base-isolated structure in the world meaning it is resilient to seismic hazards. It is one of the key cultural heritage destinations in Iran.

آرامگاه کوروش بزرگ که مقبره کوروش دوم هخامنشی ملقب به کوروش بزرگ یا کوروش کبیر است، بنایی است بی‌پیرایه با معماری منحصربه فرد، که در فاصله حدود یک کیلومتری جنوب غربی کاخ های پاسارگاد قرار دارد، این بنا از همه سوی دشت مرغاب پیداست، به ویژه اگر از سمت جنوب غربی از راه باستانی گذر کنیم و از تنگه بلاغی وارد دشت شویم، نخستین چیزی که جلب توجه می کند آرامگاه کوروش است، این اثر در سال 2004 میلادی به عنوان زیر مجموعه پاسارگاد تحت شماره 1106 در میراث جهانی یونسکو ثبت شده است
