Description

Sumac is a ground seed that has a sour tart and salty taste. It is used a seasoning on rice marinades and rubs for meat and poultry in Persian cuisine.

The fruits of the Sumac plant are ground into a deep red or purple powder and are used as a spice in Middle Eastern cuisine to add a lemony taste to salads or meat.

In Arabic cuisine it is used as a garnish on Meze dishes and added to salads.

In Persian and Kurdish cuisine Sumac is added to white rice or Kabob. In Turkish cuisine it is added to salad- servings of Kabob and Lahmacun.

سماق یک دانه آسیاب شده است که طعم ترش، ترش و شور دارد. در آشپزی ایرانی به عنوان چاشنی روی برنج، ماریناد و مایه گوشت و مرغ استفاده می شود.

میوه های گیاه سماق به صورت پودر قرمز تیره یا بنفش آسیاب می شود و به عنوان ادویه در آشپزی خاورمیانه برای افزودن طعم لیمویی به سالاد یا گوشت استفاده می شود.

در غذاهای عربی از آن به عنوان چاشنی غذاهای مزه استفاده می شود و به سالاد اضافه می شود. در غذاهای ایرانی و کردی سماق را به برنج سفید یا کباب اضافه می کنند. در غذاهای ترکی، آن را به سالادهای کباب و لاهماچون اضافه می کنند.
